Plan recurring classes and lessons

Set up recurring sessions with locations and instructors. Group classes and lessons with named participants have different purposes; lessons can include several students rather than being limited to one-to-one teaching.

Show each person their week

Students see their lessons and eligible classes across your locations. Guardians can follow linked children, and instructors can keep teaching and their own training in the same account.

Handle the changes that happen

Manage schedule changes, school closures and lesson absence notices. Authorized staff can arrange makeup lessons against eligible missed-lesson credits. Personal calendar subscriptions help people keep training alongside the rest of their week.

Questions from schools

Can one school have several locations?

Yes. One organization can manage multiple dojos, with schedules at each location and eligible classes visible across the network.

Can students add training to their calendar?

Yes. Kyu supports private, revocable subscriptions for personal, family and teaching schedules in calendar apps.

Does an absence notice mark a student absent?

An absence notice is advance information about a lesson. Actual attendance and makeup eligibility are separate records, so plans do not replace what happened.

Let’s talk about
your dojo.

Kyu started with a student and volunteer instructor wanting a better way to keep track. Tell us what would help your school.

  1. Tell us about your school and request a walkthrough.
  2. Arrange access and discuss moving your existing student records.
  3. Start with your people and schedule. Add curriculum when you’re ready.
